R&R trip – Turks & Caicos- what’s there to do?
So it’s our first time ever to be on a vacation with nothing really planned – we have a goal – but no plan. The goal is to be tanned, relaxed, and feeling like a lazy piece of goo by the time we head home. That’s it. Having said that, it doesn’t mean we don’t wonder what a week in Turks has to offer.
Our Island vacation started on Feb 20th, 2010 until Feb 27th, 2010.
Here’s what we ended up doing:
Day 1 | Saturday | Arrival @ airport in PM. Resort taxi transfer. Explore immediate area around the Veranda |
Day 2 | Sunday | beach and pool lounge day |
Day 3 | Monday | Excursion #1 – Turks & Caicos Dream Tour – Snorkelling, Conch Dive, Iguana Island |
Day 4 | Tuesday | Clear bottom Kayaks around the bay (highly recommend!), Beach walk, Snorkelling @ protective Reef, Pool, Casino |
Day 5 | Weds | Rain day =( recover from sun burns – read books, watched movies, resort gym |
Day 6 | Thursday | Bike around the island – Salt Cay Mills and town shopping |
Day 7 | Friday | Excursion #2 – private Kayak rental with Big Blue around Mangrove (highly recommend!), beach afternoon (creation of sand turtle!), hobo-cat sailing (highly recommend!), Friday night lounge at Gansevoort resort – DJ uncle EL! |
Day 8 | Saturday | Departure day – last lounge around the resort and beach. Saying bye. |
