Mont Tremblant
A February getaway to Mont Tremblant for a weekend of snowboarding, eating, casino, and superbowl. Perfect blue skies made the pictures beautiful. We stayed at the Fairmont which is right at the bottom of the slopes. They offered a ski and stay package for the weekend. Very nice facility, including a big hot tub area outside. actually it’s 4 pools: 2 regular hot tubs, 1 regular pool, 1 cold pool, and 1 hot hot tub.
We went snowtubing the first night we got there, which was super fun. A magic carpet brings you to the top of the little hill, and you grab a tub (single or double) and then an attendant whips your tube to get you sliding! We were only able to do a few runs before we got too cold. well, i got too cold. the hot tub was calling.
on the 2nd night, we took the cable car that crosses eastward to the other side of the hill to go to the casino. the cable ride was kinda freaky since there was absolutely no lights around. you just feel the car ascending and wheels squeaking. then in the distance, over the hill, you see lights again.
O, and we also watched the superbowl in the village at a bar. quite fun!
