Chinese New Year in Hong Kong
Chinese New Year is a huge celebration globally – but if you are lucky enough to be in Asia during this time, it’s definitely a treat. I have been in Asia maybe 3 times during the CNY “season”, and each time it still amazes me – the decorations across the city, the mass of people that come out to celebrate, the flowers, food, and festivities. I say “season” because it pretty much goes on for at least a week prior to the big day (revolving each year depending on the lunar calendar), up to 15 days after the big day.
Even if you don’t know any of the traditions and culture behind Chinese new year, to be a spectator during this time is awesome.
